Song Singing at Church: Part Two

God gave the church the Church the book of Psalms as a song book for the worship of Him. This book of Psalms is inspired of God and without error. But instead of worshipping God in song using the inspired book of Psalms that God gave us, we think that we can come up with something better?

We think that we can come up with something better than the inspired-of-God songbook that Father, Son, and Holy Spirit specifically gave the Church for the worship of the Triune God? We think that we can come up with something better than the God-given song book that has absolutely no errors in it?

Where does this ability to come up with songs that are better than God's songs come from?

Song Singing at Church: Part One

What kind of songs do you sing in your worship service? Why does your church sing the kind of songs that they sing? Who decides what songs go into the songbooks that you sing out of at your church?

Who writes the songs that you sing? Are the songs inspired of God and without error?

Do you know that there are churches that only sing from the word of God? These churches only sing from the book of Psalms. At one time there were many churches that sang only from the book of Psalms. For that matter, if we go back far enough, the book of Psalms was the only songbook that the Church used.

Do you think that the songs that you sing at your church are better that the Psalms? If you do, what are your reasons for this?
